Established back in 2005, White Rabbit Record Bar was the inception of Mark McCaffrey & Annie Mulroney, to provide a comfortable, local cafe/bar that combined their passion for vinyl, crate-digging and collecting. Set alongside the tracks at Kensington station, the building dates back to 1888 and had evolved into a curious arrangement of rooms funnelling down a narrow hall to reveal a glorious courtyard at the rear. While the name of the bar has both literary and musical references, the experiential implications of falling down a rabbit hole are also clearly apparent (Its a very well-loved beer garden). White Rabbit Record Bar offers food all day, along with a distinctive range in wines, beers and cocktails and there are milkshakes and toasties for the young ones. As a point of difference, the focus has always been around the music, offering a selection of new & pre-loved Records, CDs, books, music paraphernalia and guest DJs. Even though Mark passed away back in 2011, his unique legacy is evident throughout and the bar has a very loyal following after all these years. This is definitely not your average cafe/bar…
